Skin Up Those Pants !!

Dress to impress! Cut those daddy’s trousers and let’s get the trend started. How about getting some contemporary pants in the closet when your work demands the monotonous formal every single day? eeerrr!! of course you feel the same as I do.

Much to my eeerr!! I was glad to find the fashion up for the workplace. The seamless trousers left me awe struck. The trousers I witnessed, was equally loaded with style and fit, perfect for a trendsetter like me. You gotta have a look!

For all the lousy Mondays, start afresh with the Classic trousers from Indian Terrain, these are relaxed fit and often give you the most vibrant look. I got a beige trouser to start my week, followed by a self printed white shirt and a pair of brown brogue shoes. Keep yourself loose, avoid hanging on with a tie.

To add a jargon to my style, a pair of cuff-link is just perfect. 

With the work gearing up each day, time for trouser that gives you the perfect fit. The Kansas fit is the best choice for those days and the best concoction for dress to impress. What so divine about these trousers are the slim fit it gives. Those baggy over-sized daddy’s trousers is now replaced by these tapered trousers. It’s gonna give you the smartest look ones paired with a striped shirt and a pair of moccasins.

No sooner could the Friday pull in, I call it the “Fun Friday”. It’s the best day of the week where the mood is casual so is the outfit you wear. Time to slip on a pair of Brooklyn fit trousers from Indian Terrain; it has a skinny seamless fit and tappers to the bottom. You can team it up with a trendy fitted blazer from ZARA (I recently got one) as you need to be more subtle at work.

Tattoo Trend!

Tattoos have always fascinated me ever since I got one. Strange as it seems, I get a craving of carving one every year. Someone rightly said – “You can’t just have one tattoo” and I truly believe it, as I ended up having four different tattoos in a span of three years.

My loved ones often tend to ask me—

Why do I indulge myself in pain?

Does it really hurt?

Are you crazy? and many bizarre questions.

To tell the truth, I have no answer as per their score.

However, I say-- “yes it pains”. But the pain is worth the art you get. I don’t like myself getting anesthetized (people do to avoid pain during tattooing). I love to watch carve, feel the art inside me and the passion I carry.

Tattoo reveals a lot about you-- compassion, personality, and believe; the only difference I find with people w/tattoos are they merely express them through words, individuals like I do it by tattooing.

People change, so do words and believes. However, a tattoo never changes it is a constant reminder of who you are, what you wish to be, plus a concoction of style and fashion, so why do I mind. After all fashion is an art.

Charming Coiffure !

 Fashion and Hair are the perfect team player !! How unpleasant can it be if you not look the way you desire; its the hair now that plays the trick to give you that picture perfect look. Gals no more, guys these days get more finicky about their hair if anything goes wrong.

Talking about me, I love experimenting, not at the lab, but with my hair, perming and rebonding once a year, silly isn't it? I have long hair so i can do it.. lol.

These days I am quite fascinated by the "Hair Art" (sound similar to "Nail art"). But unfortunately it looks good on short hair. Never mind the option of snapping off some extra hair is always open. However, for now Peter, one of my friend vouched to show his hair art and I couldn't resist to pen down his one of a kind look. Guys, I am sure you all are gonna love it.

A Walk With Boots!

Talking about boots, I tend to get nostalgic, reminds me of the old school days when we wore gum boots and played in the rain, how fantastic the time was isn’t it? At that time, wearing boots or rather gum boots were indeed a fun toy to wear and play in the rain. The idea of being fashionable at such a tender age was way out, but then I realize it now, I was a “fashionista”.

But then boots have come long way since then, with incredible style, texture and brilliance. Talk about the collection this season, although the style remains pretty much the same, it is the texture, the cut and detailing that changes every season.

This year’s 2013 Paris Autumn Winter fashion ramp witnessed high heeled knee length boots with more of an earthy texture to it. Check out few of the more collection that you would love to add to your closet.

My Perfect Wardrobe!

This weekend while I was walking through the streets, my eyes could not stop ogling at the posters. I was awestruck with the collection and with no thought just went on with the search of “My Perfect Wardrobe”.

The fad that caught my eyes was the terrific chinos, the colors were bright and irresistible, I wished I could buy all, so holding on to my breath I got a soft yellow chino which was just a step ahead to reach my perfect wardrobe.

Nothing can entice me more than leather, I found out some classy shoes starting from moccasins to brogues. What interested me was a fresh pair of brogues, to give me more of a classy vintage look. These are the biggest turn out guys..  Try it!!

My next buy was the ever popular tee-shirt; this time I choose it to be white with a bold print on it. It’s lovely; the comfortable cotton fabric makes it a daily wear.

Crazy Collar!

Crazy indeed! Nobody expected how popular detachable collars could be. I too was amazed but loved it at a glance and I said to myself – “Eureka!! I just found something great to study and pen on”.

Writing this just made me recall my school uniform, I clearly remember how the tie felt around the neck and yes, I confess…. I hated it! However a decade later, I find myself sitting and writing about it,  J  ironic isn’t it? Now instead of looking awkward, I smug myself in appreciating the style, after all it the latest ‘it’ accessory.

Taking inspiration from the 40’s, the AW 2011 saw the discreet usage of collars, when Louis Vuitton used it to give a finished look in every shirt, dress, or coat in the collection. The popularity of the 70 years old fashion laid in its ability to transform something old to something new without spending much.
